Just be fucking honest about how you feel about people while you’re alive.John Mayer
There is an ebb and flow in our experience, connected to the Oceanic tides of our emotions. At times we may feel neutral or tranquil and then the tide goes out and all the stones and pebbles get exposed ~ things we thought we may have let go of, may still remain.
Being able to see the beauty in what we may not want to see, helps us to experience it in a new light each time it is revealed. Instead of running away, we embrace it because it heals us and teaches us about who we truly are.
As we are Creative beings, we are also receptive and in the cycles of Nature that spin polarity, all is unified ~ only dualism comes from imbalance. The highest form of self-love comes through seeing yourself through your own eyes and loving what you see.
If there is something we don’t like, we can work on changing it, not for anyone else, but for our self. If it is a superficial dislike, acceptance brings on wisdom and depth to go further inside.
The deepest form of self-love is loving what others may judge about you and it is the ability to look honestly at the self with a bit of humor ~ It is about knowing your thoughts alone are more powerful than anyone elses ~ it is taking us on a journey home and further away from what feels foreign. It is a treasure hunt to our Truth.
Self-love shows strength in the face of opposition and cruelty from others. Self-love doesn’t force anything on the self and it doesn’t reject or condemn any aspects either, but embraces all as divine, from the darkest of feelings to the brightest of dispositions, with a full on understanding of why one feels the way they do. It is self-respect for those thoughts, even if they make little sense to others.
To experience it, is to be your own best friend cause you totally understand how you feel and know exactly what you are talking about and can totally relate! Compassion for self softens any pain and the surrender to let go and fall back into self ~ is the path to Spiritual Freedom…Laura Magdalene Eisenhower
